First Resource: Classkick

One of my favorite resources I used this year that was extremely effective for online learners was Classkick! It was an excellent way to perform formative assessments and give feedback to students in real time. Students can also help out each other when they get stuck, making Classkick my top resource for this school year. Check out my video below for a short tutorial.

Second Resource: iMovie

My second favorite resource that I believe ALL teachers should learn and utilize is iMovie. Here in Temecula we are an Apple district and I had the opportunity to become a certified Apple Teacher. The absolute best resource I learned was iMovie. Students of all ages loved to be entertained while they are learning and iMovie makes it easy for teachers to create effective and engaging movies and trailers to interest students. iMovie is extremely intuitive and students can easily learn how to make their own movies and trailers in no time. I would highly recommend learning the program. Below is an example of a movie trailer I made in iMovie. The template was already created (music included)! All I needed to do was add pictures and the text. My students were BEYOND excited to learn about the Gold Rush after watching! Check out my Gold Rush Hype Video below.

Third Resource: Bitmoji Classrooms

The last resource I would like to share are bitmoji classrooms. I am sure many of you are sick to death of these... BUT, the kids absolutely love them, especially the themed ones for different holidays or special occasions. Teaching online all year allowed me to use them daily to kick off my morning meetings. I found an excellent resource on Instgram: bitmoji.becca. Her bitmoji classrooms are FREE to add to your Google drive and she thinks of everything. From Harry Potter, to Starwars and even a Taco Tuesday theme, they are incredibly easy to copy and paste directly into your morning meeting slides. Something small like this goes a long way to putting a smile on a students face. Check out her link in the citation below.
